Hey, I'm Denise. I make small‑batch, wheel‑thrown ceramics in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada.

I've wanted to play with clay for as long as I can remember, but it wasn't until I moved out of Toronto that I finally made it happen. In early 2020, I signed up for my first pottery class... and then the world shut down.

Not wanting to wait, I bought a pottery wheel, set it up in my basement and practiced along with countless YouTube videos. I like to joke that I earned a pottery degree from YouTube University. When classes eventually resumed, I jumped back in, filling shelves with experiments and happy accidents. Somewhere along the way, those shelves of practice pieces turned into work I felt proud enough to share.

When I'm not in the studio, you'll usually find me in the garden, feeding the birds on local trails, or travelling with my husband, who also helps pack and ship your orders. Our favourite destinations so far are Japan and Paris.

I hope these pieces bring you a little joy. If one of them ends up in your daily rotation, I consider that a win.
